裝修工:早「掛波」小題大做

家住長沙灣、在何文田工作的市民鄭先生向本報表示,他從事裝修行業,今日已提前放工,接受訪問時正在等待女朋友收工。他認為,天文台今次提早這麼多掛風球或有些許「小題大做」,掛風球時仍未有刮風下雨;但他亦表示,理解政府需方便下午開工、返回公司路程較遠的市民,因此需要提前較多發出警示。至於颱風前準備,鄭先生說並未特別搶購民生物資,料今日返回家時超市仍未關門,屆時再購買亦不遲。

家住新界市民讚早「掛波」夠時間準備

家住新界西、在中環附近工作的許先生向本報表示,天文台警示發出時間較好,有充足時間給他準備,公司於中午12點左右已經要求職員返家。另外,他說今次預警時間足夠,他作為返工人士,都可以更好的安排照顧家中小朋友。

有在東華三院旗下港島區康健中心工作的職員向本報表示,今次政府安排良好,統籌令康健中心整體營運順暢。另有家住港島區的文員區女士表示,公司於今日下午1點半開始讓員工下班,家裡有家人負責照顧小朋友,已妥善處理,她無需著急趕回家。

海上渡輪服務因應八號風球逐步停駛,中環往坪洲、長洲的尾班渡輪均在下午3時15分開出,記者3時在場觀察,不少人趕船回家,人流在3時10分前後減少。市民楊小姐表示,公司上司了解到她住長洲,不會安排她做全程在公司的工作,她亦都可以早些放工。她續指,不同崗位都有自己責任,儘管老闆可能會提早讓員工下班,但員工仍需完成自己崗位上的職責,堅守崗位,不可擅離,因此認為政府亦未必可以乾脆地要求全日停工。市民容先生則表示在中環工作,來到碼頭只需要10至20分鐘,時間非常寬裕,他可就住最後一班船時間規劃行程,不擔心趕不到船。
