記者今早到位於長沙灣政府合署的西九龍就業中心觀察,招聘會於中心內一間會議室進行,求職者要先到會議室外的接待處領取各機構的表格,填寫時後可申請多個職位,即可進入會議室內的等候區等待面試。

該中心早上的招聘會有三間機構參與,包括大快活快餐有限公司、金鳳大餐廳(屯門市)有限公司、味軒燒鵝餐廳有限公司,聘請樓面服務員、廚師、洗員、廚房幫工等。

招聘會剛開始,在西九龍就業中心內的市民約10多人,為招聘會而來的僅數人。據現場觀察,至中午12時,來參與招聘會的求職者不足10人。

區先生從事飲食業16、17年,對上一份工作於某食店做兼職廚房工,惟約7、8個月前,僱主輸入外勞後,要求他由鄰近住所的分店調往需長通勤時間的分店工作,及後著他暫時不用上班,「(僱主)想你知難而退。」

他續指過往7、8個月找工作甚困難,「現在都請外勞,長工不請(本地人),只請兼職。」希望政府確保讓本地工人就業優先。他在招聘會應徵大快活廚務助理,月薪約1.5萬元,較其以往月入低,但他說近來經濟差也只好接受。他又指,面試時僱主代表態度正面,也主動提出可安排他於鄰近區住區份的分店工作,自覺獲聘「成數高」。

另一位本地求職者黎先生以往曾於茶餐廳、快餐店、超級市場工作,近年全職照顧家庭,感覺生活較「空洞」,故近兩三個月決定再求職。黎先生今日應徵多份工作後指,面試期間僱主提及的要求與職缺所寫相符,但因要照顧家庭,或較難應僱主要求輪班工作,「也不是刁難,他只是講他需要的事。」

他說現時求職不易,輸入外勞令本地人求職更困難,目前只希望盡快找到工作,不介意跨區工作,除今日來西九龍就業中心,稍後也會去其他就業中心參與同類招聘會。

除本地工人,也有人才受養人來求職。劉小姐以人才計劃受養人的身份來港數月,昨日從勞工處網站得悉招聘會資訊,覺得招聘會職位空缺的工作要求、月薪還可以,故今早來應徵大快活廚房幫工。問到有沒有信心獲聘,她坦言自己不擅廣東話所以「說不準」,稍後也會參與其他招聘會。
